Delete your account
One account covers all eleven Billfold apps, so deleting it once removes everything from every one of them. There are two ways to do it.
Last updated 1 August 2026Export anything you want to keep first
Deletion is immediate and permanent. Nothing is archived, nothing sits in a recycle bin, and there is no way for us to restore it afterwards. If you may need your receipts at tax time, use the export in the app and save the file somewhere else before you start.
In the app
This is the fastest way, and it works from any of the eleven apps. You do not have to use the app you signed up in.
-
Open Settings
Tap Settings from the main screen.
-
Open Account
Inside Settings, tap Account. This is the screen showing the email address you sign in with.
-
Tap Delete account
Tap Delete account at the bottom of that screen, then confirm. The full path is Settings Account Delete account.
-
It is done
Your data is erased at that moment and the app signs you out. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email to click.
By email
If you cannot get into the app, or you have already removed it from your phone, write to rodriguescarson@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Billfold account.
- Send it from the email address on the account. That is how we confirm the request is yours, and we cannot act on a request from any other address.
- No reason is needed and you will not be asked for one or offered anything to stay.
- The account is deleted within 7 days, usually the same day, and you get one final email confirming it is gone.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, across all eleven apps:
- The account itself, and the email address it was registered with.
- Every receipt image you uploaded, and every stored copy of it.
- Every expense record: merchants, dates, totals, taxes, categories, line items, notes and tags.
- Folders and share links, invoices and clients, expense claims and approvals, shifts, fuel and mileage logs, trips and per-diem entries.
- All ZestPOS data: shop details, menu and item list, stock, orders, bills, day totals, and the payment identifiers you had saved.
- Settings, language and currency preferences, and any premium grant.
- The link between your account and Apple or Google sign-in.
Deletion removes all of it from the live database and file storage straight away. Encrypted backups roll off on a 30-day cycle, so the last trace disappears from those within 30 days. Nothing is retained for marketing, analytics or resale, because none of that exists here.
Deleting one app instead
Removing an app from your phone does not delete your account, and neither does signing out. Both leave your records intact so that installing the app again brings everything back. Use one of the two methods above if you want the data gone.
If you want to keep using some apps but clear out one of them, delete those records inside that app instead. Your account and your other apps are untouched.
